Ericka Allison has been teaching and working as a Breathworker for about 40 years. Her trust in the breath as a powerful and safe healing modality has taken her all over the planet both teaching and learning this self-transformative experiential process. In a session of Breathwork we use our breath as a tool. Conscious breathing allows us to breathe out toxic physical, mental and emotional toxins and to breathe in clean new fresh insights and healing energies. When we are hurt or upset we tend to hold our breath: learning to release our breath also releases a lot of accumulated trauma. Holotropic Breathwork is a powerful approach to self-exploration and personal empowerment that relies on our innate inner wisdom and its capacity to move us toward positive transformation and wholeness. Acknowledging, accessing and supporting the inner healing intelligence and impulse in each individual is the essential cornerstone of this approach. The process itself uses very simple means: it combines accelerated breathing with evocative music in a special set and setting. With the eyes closed and lying on a mat, each person uses their own breath and the music in the room to enter a non-ordinary state of consciousness. This state activates the natural inner healing process of the individual’s psyche, bringing the seeker a particular set of internal experiences. With the inner healing intelligence guiding the process, the quality and content brought forth is unique to each person and for that particular time and place. While recurring themes are common, no two sessions are ever alike. Ericka likes to say: “it depends on what you had for breakfast.” For a Breathwork Session lasting 2.5 hours you need to bring a mattress to lie on, a warm blanket/duvet, pillow, bottle of water, journal and pen, a snack for afterwards. For more information and to book, contact: Talitha Kotze 0824338736 *Space is limited so book early to avoid disappointment. A non-refundable deposit of R100 is essential as spaces get booked up very quickly. 💫 |
